Correct installation and operation of rolling doors guarantee their safe and durable service life. To keep shutters in good working condition, follow the instructions listed below:
Only qualified personnel trained at DoorHan training centers should install roll-up doors or rolling shutters.
Install rolling shutters following DoorHan operation and installation instructions and technical data sheets.
Rolling doors should open smoothly without jolts or jamming.
Use only specified equipment for opening and closing of the doors.
Don’t exert pressure exceeding 100 N when opening the rolling doors.
Partial opening or closing of the doors, especially with large curtain area (curtain size more than 3,000 x 2,000 mm), is undesirable.
If the rolling door is equipped with a mechanical lock or a latch lock unlock it before opening the doors.
If rolling doors are operated with rod crank, hold the crank rod at 45° when turning it. According to EN12453 and 12604 standards one should not exert pressure exceeding 390 N when operating rolling doors. If the operated rolling door is large use emergency manual drive only for closing.
Follow the corresponding operation and installation instructions when using an electric motor.
Do NOT permit children to play on, near the operating area, or with the rolling doors or to operate controls.
Keep door/window opening clear of people and animals while operating the shutters.
Never stay or cross an opening under a moving shutter curtain as it may cause serious injury.
Don’t strike the shutter curtain or obstruct its movement.
Keep the door/window opening clear of any objects while operating the shutters as it may cause their damage.
Never install any optional equipment or accessories, replace or adjust some shutter parts without prior consultation with the manufacturer (consultation is considered to be a communication describing the arisen problem which can be documented).
In winter, in case of ice coating of rolling door parts, it’s necessary to pre-tap the door curtain perimeter to release it of ice before operating the door. Pay special attention to the place where bottom part of the curtain touches the floor or window sill (keep it clean too).
Carry out rolling door maintenance at least once a year.
Should the rolling door be used for other purposes or should its size exceed the recommended one, the manufacturer holds no responsibility for its integrity and correct operation.
Adjustments or repairs must be made by a trained technician using proper tools and instructions.
Foam-filled slat profile can be combined with the fenestrated profile of RHE78G series.
DoorHan warrants the roll-up doors/rolling shutters to operate properly for a period of 2 years from purchase date.
